Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Prolific writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
An official for the firm commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was taken subsequent to an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
