Indianapolis Colts Battle Falcons in German Capital – Week 10 NFL Action

Hello, fussball fans. Wie gehts? Alles klar I hope on this fine morning kickoff to week 10 coming directly from Germany. Berlin's Olympic Stadium to be exact where at 9:30 AM EST and 2:30 PM GMT the mighty Indianapolis Colts (seven wins and two losses) face off against the Falcons (three wins and five losses). This marks the fifth matchup played on soil in Germany and the first in the nation’s capital.

Pregame Key Moments

When it comes to glittering attire that is an absolute belter from the Olympic figure skater on the opening flip. A slight fluff from Sky Sports there as we hear “which team got the coin flip?” from the presenter with an unfortunately hot mic.

So, the Colts have won the toss and have elected to receive. The Colts' offense will be taking the field soon. Will the QB bounce back after a rough one in their last game?

In a similar vein the singer belting out the US national anthem has some of the largest shoulder pads you are bound to notice. The fashion picks are impressive today. The game is about to start after a choral number for the German anthem. Classy.

Opening Period Gameplay

Colts 0-0 Falcons 13:30, 1st quarter

And we're off! And we have early drama after Jonathan Taylor catches a screen pass, sweeps out for 15 yards to the right then loses the ball … only for his center to save his bacon with the ball retrieval. Colts are in Falcons territory already.

Still scoreless at 10:51

And the drama keeps coming as the Colts go for it on 4th down. The risk doesn't work out as Josh Downs cannot reel in a quick pass from Jones. Prior to the failed attempt the Falcons defender put a huge hit on the Colts' tight end. The Falcons have come out fighting on defense as they attempt to end their three-game losing streak. Next up Sauce Garner’s debut!

Touchdown Updates

TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-0 Falcons 8:36, 1st quarter

Did Kyle Pitts just drop a touchdown? The tight end drops a clanger, he was very open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That moment reflects the high draft pick's professional journey to date.

A disappointing start but it only deteriorates for the Atlanta as they turn over possession to the Indianapolis on the 23-yard line. Michael Penix Jr is hunted down and can’t keep hold of the ball.

An agile 22-yard rush from the Colts receiver sets the running back up to roll in for the score on the next snap. The placekicker misses the point after attempt. Oops.

Falcons respond: 6-7 at 6:07

The quarterback recovers from the turnover by marching his Falcons down the field for a score of their own. Drake London makes some chunky receptions to put them in the red zone then the defense opens up for the running back to saunter on to the goal line through the heart of the field for a 13-yard gain. The running back finishes it off for a short scoring run of his own. Advantage Atlanta.

Additional Tenth Week Games

Additionally, the full slate starting at 1 PM EST and 6 PM GMT (home teams listed first) is as follows:

  • (5-4) Carolina Panthers v New Orleans Saints (1-8)

  • (5-3) Chicago Bears v Giants (2-7)

  • (3-5) Houston Texans v Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3)

  • (2-7) Dolphins v Buffalo Bills (6-2)

  • (4-4) Vikings v Baltimore Ravens (3-5)

  • (1-7) Jets v Cleveland Browns (2-6)

  • (6-2) Tampa Bay Buccaneers v New England Patriots (7-2)

What a feast. I’m planting my flag on the Vikings and Ravens playing out the game of the day.
